xcountry-pinkgearWe’re halfway through Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Verona High School’s student athletes are doing their best to get the word out, from wearing pink gear donated by the Minette’s Angels Foundation to selling their own designs.

That’s what the boys and girls cross-country teams are doing. The team has “Hillbilly Fight” t-shirts for $12 and matching headbands for $10, with all proceeds donated to breast cancer awareness. You can get yours by texting cross-country parent Wendy Parent at 973-519-0992 or email Coach Gene Leporati at [email protected].

The girls team also spelled out their message in pink cups on the fence at Thomas J. Sellitto Field.hillbillyfight
