Verona resident Stephen Machnowski is inviting all middle school and high school parents and their children with a love for cycling to attend a free and open presentation on the New Jersey League and Essex County composite team.
The New Jersey League is committed to teaching safe riding practices. Their goal is to build strong body, mind and character in student athletes, with an unwavering focus on inclusivity and equality through the life-long sport of cycling. “All are welcome to attend,” Machnowski says. “Let’s get more kids on bikes!”
The event will take place on Thursday, October 13 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will be hosted by Pedal Montclair at Montclair Township Fire Headquarters, 1 Pine Street in Montclair.
New Jersey Interscholastic Cycling League is a chapter of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As one of 19 leagues across the country, they organize a mountain bike racing league for middle and high school student athletes.
