EssayYes, the class of 2016 has not even left for college yet. But it will be time for the Verona High School class of 2017 to file their college applications before you know it and essay questions are a big part of those applications.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 28 and 29, Allison Wright will be holding a two-part application and essay-writing workshop. Wright is a graduate of Verona High School who spent more than two decades in human relations for some of the largest corporations in America before launching College 411, a college and career advisory firm based here in Verona.

Workshop participants will learn the different aspects of the college application process, the critical essay components, and the techniques for drafting a memorable long essay, which is required for most college applications. Participants will receive one-on-one writing support and editing and proofreading of their final essay.

The workshop will be held at the C3 Workplace, 26 Park Street, Montclair, in Suite 2000, from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be addition workshops held on August 2 and 3, August 9 and 10, August 16 and 17, and August 23 and 24, all from 2 to 5 p.m. in the same location.

The cost for the six-hour program is $495 and you can reserve your spot by emailing [email protected].
