Juniors Award Three Scholarships

scholarship2On June 8, Junior Woman’s Club President Erika Grothues presented three $1,000 scholarships at the Verona High School Awards night. The award winners were:

  • John T Reisenmann Scholarship – Ariana Matias
  • Jane Meyers Scholarship – Amanda Gannon
  • Junior Woman’s Club of Verona Scholarship – Emily Petermann

Thanks to the support of the community over the past year, the Juniors were able to make these awards to deserving high school seniors. All graduating seniors who are Verona residents were eligible to be considered for these honors.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is a versatile organization that has been involved in social and charitable work since its inception in 1926. The Juniors address Verona’s diverse needs by promoting education, preserving natural resources, encouraging healthy lifestyles, working on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, supporting participation in the arts and advocating for issues of concern to women, children and families.
