The Verona Rescue Squad will be holding an All-You-Can-Eat Pasta Dinner on Friday, June 3, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Verona Community Center, located at 880 Bloomfield Ave, Verona. The cost is $10 per person, and children under 5 eat free.
The Verona Rescue Squad is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides emergency medical services. It gets its financial support from fundraisers like the dinner, as well as from donations by the residents and businesses of Verona. Its trained members respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and all Verona Rescue Squad services are provided free of charge.

Both adults and teens can volunteer: The VRS’ youth membership accepts teens ages 16 to 18, who work evening shifts from 6 to 11 p.m. on school nights. Youth volunteers are trained, and must maintain their school grades. Adult volunteers can be either associates, serving one six-hour shift per week, or full members, who commit to one scheduled 12-hour shift per week.
