The First Presbyterian Church of Verona located at 10 Fairview Avenue will host a Community Bar-be-que on Sunday, May 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. Cost is $15 per person and a canned good. All funds raised will go to the Sunday Supper Program and canned goods will be donated to the new Food Pantry at the Church of the Holy Spirit.

The Sunday Supper program provides meals to those in need identified by local social service agencies on the first Sunday of every month. To prepare these well balanced meals, a volunteer crew cooks on Saturdays and delivers the hot meal on Sunday afternoon. Recipients are either in need financially or home bound and would not eat on Sunday without this assistance. The generous portions provide two meals for many. The most special part about Sunday supper is that these are meals many would prepare for their families. This program runs through financial donations only.

Ticket need to be purchased in advance by calling the church at 973-239-3561 or contacting committee chairwoman, Eileen Kuhn at 862-703-8421.
