The Friends of the Verona Public Library is hosting a clearance book sale at the 2nd Annual Verona Green Fair on May 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Verona Civic Square, 600 Bloomfield Avenue. Stop by to pick up your summer pool and beach reading!
Gently used fiction and non-fiction titles will be available, along with books for children and teens. Books are being sold at clearance prices – 50 cents for all books at the sale, and three books will be sold for $1! All proceeds from this book sale are donated to the Verona Public Library.
At the Verona Green Fair the Friends will also be collecting gently used books, DVDs, video games, and CD donations. By donating your gently used items to the Friends you can prevent these items from ending up in landfills and help the Friends raise money for the Verona Public Library. In 2015, the Friends made over $5,000 re-selling gently used books for the Verona Public Library, and with those funds were able to fund all of the Library’s programming for adults and children in 2016.
