Verona resident Joe Riccitelli was honored for his leadership in the music business and his support of music students at the William Paterson University Foundation’s 26th annual Legacy Award Gala on Thursday, April 21.

Riccitelli was a 1985 graduate of William Paterson, where he majored in communication and was a DJ and public relations director for the campus radio station WPSC. After a senior year internship at Polygram Records turned into a job offer, Riccitelli embarked on a career promoting some of the hottest names in contemporary pop music, including P!NK, Justin Timberlake, Foo Fighters, Usher, Britney Spears and Pitbull. He now leads promotion for more than 100 artists and also oversees the company’s music licensing and brand partnership departments. Riccitelli has also actively supported WPU’s music management program, serving as a guest lecturer and a visiting resident music industry expert.
