Verona High School’s Jazz and Beyond will present its spring concert this Thursday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Verona High School.
The performance will span a wide range of music, including blues, Afro-Cuban and African chant, as well as songs from Neil Diamond, The Fratellis, White Stripes, Sam & Dave, Jefferson Airplane, David Bowie and more.
Special guests include the H.B. Whitehorne Middle School Jazz Band, and appearances by school staff who are retiring at the end of this year: Dianne Kuzsma, Rich Rampolla, Anthony Carsillo, Larry Siegel, Shirley Bush and Glenn Cesa.
Verona High School Jazz and Beyond is a select ensemble chosen by audition; the director is Max Morden.
The concert is free of charge. Verona High School is located at 151 Fairview Avenue.
