During the week of April 18 – 22, the Spotlight Players Parents Association will be holding a Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser! The members of the Verona High School Spotlight Players Drama program will be sprinkling the town of Verona with bright pink flamingo lawn ornaments with good-hearted messages for the recipients.
This is your chance to show your fellow Veronians how much you love them by sending a trio of flamingoes or even a flock (a dozen feathered friends) to their front yard for a small migration fee ($10 for the trio, $15 for the flock). These birds will roost on the victim’s lawn for 24 hours then they will migrate to their next destination at no charge to that recipient. But if that recipient would like to forward them immediately, a small donation will direct the bird’s travels to a destination of their choosing.
If you are worried about your reputation, what your neighbors might say or are concerned about what a flock of flamingoes could do to your lawn, no worries. You can purchase “Anti-Flocking Insurance” for $45 to ensure these pesky creatures won’t land on your front yard.
To flock a friend or buy protective insurance, contact Melody Williams of the Spotlight Players Parents Association by email at [email protected] or by phone 973.857.2561.
Please remember, this is all in good fun and for a good cause. All proceeds will go to help subsidize the Drama program at Verona High School. On behalf of the members of the Spotlight Players and the Parents Association, thanks in advance for your enthusiastic participation!
