MemorialCandlesMrs. Joyce (nee Sampson) Gamble, 86, died on April 9, 2016 at her home in Verona. Funeral arrangements are private.

Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Gamble was a lifelong resident of Verona. She has a bachelor’s from Tufts University and a masters from Kean University.

Mrs. Gamble was a special education teacher for the Lincoln Park Board of Education, working for many years at the Chapel Hill School.

She was predeceased by her husband, Radford G. Gamble, and her parents, William and Evelyn Sampson. She is the mother of Beth Gamble Brown, David Gamble, Carol Heffernan and Evelyn VanWagner and is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Memorial Donations to the Caldwell Cannons (Special Olympics Swim Team), 1 Provost Square, Caldwell NJ 07006, would be appreciated.
