If you’ve got old TVs and computers lying around, Verona is having another collection of electronic waste this Friday and Saturday.
Earlier this year, the town changed its electronics recycling rules and ended the recycling of electronics at Commerce Court (curbside dumping of electronics has been illegal for some time).
Now, you can only recycle electronic waste by bringing it to one of the designated collection days at the Verona Department of Public Works yard on Ozone Avenue, just before the turn into Commerce Court, or one of the Essex County collection dates.
Verona’s e-waste collection is Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days. Simply place your electronics in the marked trucking container.
There will be two more e-waste weekends this year: Friday, July 15t and Saturday, July 16, and Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15.
