U12RedDevils-Spring2016The Verona United Red Devils U12 boys soccer team kicked off its spring 2016 season with a strong start and a tournament win at the Ironbound Tournament this past weekend. The team won first place after playing four games, outscoring their opponents with a total of 11 goals.

“The boys have been working hard since January,” said team manager Justin Marriott, “including playing older teams and higher ranked teams. These things combined, plus their team spirit, led to some very competitive play with contributions from the whole roster.”

This great effort and win is indicative of how far the burgeoning team has come since their first spring season four years ago.
