5:55 PM Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of a fraud from a Linn Drive resident. The resident reported receiving a call from Nordstrom regarding a purchase she had made. The resident advised the caller that she had not made any purchases and the order was canceled. The resident then contacted her bank and closed her credit card account.
9:48 PM Officer Thomas Conroy conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue after recognizing the passenger as an individual with an outstanding warrant. The subject Daniel Boutcher of Verona was placed under arrest on outstanding warrants from the Hackensack and Stone Harbor Municipal Courts. Boutcher was transported to police headquarters for processing. After processing he posted bail and was released.

9:35 PM Officer Thomas Conroy responded along with the Verona Rescue Squad to a report of a fall victim on White Rock Road. After treatment by the rescue squad, the victim was transported to Mountainside Hospital.

1:38 AM Officer Robert Maguire responded to a report of a dispute on Linn Drive. Upon arrival the officer spoke to two males who reported that they were involved in a verbal dispute with two other males who had left the area in a black vehicle. The vehicle was stopped on Linn Drive and officers spoke to all parties involved. All parties reported a verbal dispute with some pushing and shoving. No injuries were reported and all parties stated they did not wish to pursue the matter. All parties were advised of complaint procedures.
3:45 PM Officer Jordan Descafano took a report of property damage from an East Orange resident. The resident reported that his vehicle was struck by an unsecured shopping cart causing a dent in his vehicle. The resident spoke to the store manager and was advised of the procedure to report the damage to the corporate office. Value of the damage is unknown at this time.

8:18 AM Officer Ed Ruff conducted a motor vehicle stop on Grove Avenue after receiving several complaints of an erratic driver. While speaking with the operator the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The operator was asked to step from the vehicle to perform field sobriety tests. After completing the tests, the operator Christopher Peralta of Rochelle Park was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing he was released to a family member.
7:32 PM Officer Chris Scheper took a report of a suspicious vehicle from a Pine Street resident. The resident reported observing a vehicle pull into her driveway occupied by two males. When she went to the door to see who it was, she observed a male walking near her door. When the male saw her he ran back to the car. The vehicle then quickly left the area. The resident was advised to contact the police if she observes any other suspicious vehicles in the area.

8:16 PM Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of a fraud from a Mt. Vernon Square resident. The resident reported several unauthorized transactions on her debit card. The resident has been in contact with her bank and cancelled her debit card.

12:50 AM Officer Justin Nielsen conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pompton Avenue after observing the vehicle in a parking lot of a local business that was closed for the evening. Upon checking the identity of the occupants of the vehicle, a warrant was discovered for the passenger. Joseph Gentle of Verona was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing, Gentle posted bail and was released.
11:17 AM Officer Anthony Condorelli took a report of a fraud from a Hillwood Terrace resident. The resident reported that an unknown person accessed his Verizon account and purchased additional phones and equipment that were added to his account. The resident has been in contact with Verizon.
4:45 PM Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of a fraud from a Personette Avenue resident. The resident reported that her bank contacted her regarding several fraudulent transactions on her credit card. She has been in contact with her bank and cancelled the account.
7:33 PM Officer Chris Scheper took a report of a burglary at a Sunset Avenue residence. The resident reported that she discovered the bathroom of her home ransacked. The resident stated the alarm activated earlier in the day and when she checked the house she didn’t see anything and reset the alarm. It is unknown at this time if anything is missing.
7:58 PM Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of a dispute at a Bloomfield Avenue business. The dispute was between the business owner and an employee over money owed. Both parties were satisfied and left the area.

1:35 PM Officer Ed Ruff took a report of a theft from a Pompton Avenue business. The store employee reported that an unknown male took approximately $1,475 worth of merchandise from the store. The male was described as a Hispanic male, 5’10”, bald with a tattoo on his right hand.
