Caldwell Madrigals To Perform At First Presbyterian

madrigalOn Sunday, March 13, the James Caldwell Madrigal Singers lead by Elsie Timpson will be performing at the First Presbyterian Church of Verona as part of the 10:15 a.m. service.

The service, which will be presided over by the Rev. Dr. Julia Dawson, will feature the introit “Lead Me, Lord” by Samuel Wesley, anthem “Cantate Domino” by Giuseppe Pitoni and Benediction Response “Go in Peace and Love” by Sally K. Albrecht. Immediately following the service the group will give a short concert of non-secular music, which will include tunes such as “Weep, O Mine Eyes” by John Bennet and “Ain’t Misbehavin” by Fats Waller and Harry Brooks.

Following the service and concert light refreshments will be served.

The church is located at 10 Fairview Avenue and has ample parking in the lot behind the church building.
