College Dean’s Lists Feature Verona Residents

MyVeronaNJ-College-BooksBucknell University: Jane Szybist, Class of 2018; Lauren Smith, Class of 2016; Heather Smith, Class of 2019. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition.

Fairleigh Dickinson University: Hailey Harrington, a student at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, has been named to the Honors List for the Spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the Honors List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Georgia Institute of Technology: Phillip Vetrano. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Hofstra University: Sharlys Leszczuk, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5.

James Madison University: Luke Catania, scheduled to graduate in 2017 and majoring in accounting; Shannon Garner, scheduled to graduate in 2016 and majoring in communication studies; Joseph Calandra, scheduled to graduate in 2017 and majoring in finance.

Lehigh University: Yazata Bhote, Torsten Kolind, Joshua Solomon. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Marist College: Hannah Dayan, Class of 2016 majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Elizabeth Oser, Class of 2019 majoring in Fashion Merchandising.

SUNY Geneseo: Amanda Langan. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

University of Scranton: Patrick Malanga, junior history major in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences; Matthew McManus, senior history major in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences; Colleen Farrell, sophomore nursing major in the University’s Panuska College of Professional Studies; Jillienne Cumming, junior counseling and human services major in the University’s Panuska College of Professional Studies; Kristin Visentin, junior nursing major in the University’s Panuska College of Professional Studies; Nicholas Hennig, senior exercise science major in the University’s Panuska College of Professional Studies. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean’s List.

William Paterson University: Brian McMahon, Jonathan Pinon, Kyle Rosenberg, Corinne Sullivan. In order to qualify, a student must carry a minimum of 12 credits for the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.45 or better.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute: David Bovich of Verona, a member of the class of 2019 majoring in chemical engineering, was named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall 2015 semester. A total of 1,238 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI’s fall 2015 Dean’s List. The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean’s List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
