Verona Singing Group Seeks New Members

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAComing off their very successful Winter Concert in December, Verona Voices is please to announce plans for their Spring season. The rehearsals begin with an open house for prospective new members on Tuesday, January 26 at 7 p.m. in the Music Room of H.B. Whitehorne Middle School in Verona. This is an opportunity to meet with the director and the members and to learn more about Voices. Light refreshments will be served.

Afterward, the first rehearsal of the season will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Rehearsals will continue every Tuesday until the concert. The concert date is Sunday, May 15 at 4 p.m. at the Verona Community Center Ballroom.

The music selection has not been finalized, but the Spring season is usually filled with a mix of show tunes, pop songs, and jazzy arrangements. Most are accompanied by piano, but some are performed a capella or feature other instruments.

Denise Bastanza of Verona returns as director, and Helga Bartus of Montclair returns as accompanist.
