If you haven’t been on the southern end of Grove Avenue recently, you might have missed the signs for Verona’s newest park.
The Verona Environmental Commission, Junior Woman’s Club of Verona and Verona Historical Society joined forces earlier this year to create a nature preserve that also preserves some of Verona’s history. They cleaned the woods at 42 Grove Avenue of years of debris, opened a walking trail and, with the help of Verona’s Department of Public Works, installed signage and benches.
This Saturday, November 21,  there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Grove Park Historic & Nature Preserve. It takes place at 10 a.m. at the entrance of the park, which is on the stretch of Grove between Personette and Bloomfield avenues. All residents are welcome to attend.
