There’s been a lot of new construction in one spot on the north side of Verona in the last two years. Thirty-three attached townhouses were built on the former Bahr Lumber yard on Durrell Street, five single family-homes went up on the old Fredco Landscaping property down the block, and four more single-family homes are planned for a narrow wedge that once housed Bahr’s oil depot.

Brokers say that many of the new homes have already found buyers, something that is confirmed by property tax records. Two of the five Rawding Court homes have found buyers, at $875,000 and $899,000. On the former Bahr lots, ten Bahr Circle properties have found buyers, at prices from $380,000 to $439,950. 17 Bahr Circle was among the first to be bought. According to property tax records, it was purchased last November for $380,000. It is now back on the market for $499,900.
