Verona is often referred to as a “fully built” town, but there has been an awful lot of construction here lately, much of it on Durrell Street. The former Bahr Lumber location now holds 33 townhouses, while a double lot down the street has three new single family homes with two more in the works.

This weekend, a real estate broker in Warren County has listed two large homes to be built on the lot that Bahr’s oil delivery business used for oil storage and truck parking. The Verona Planning Board approved the subdivision of the lot in March. Each of the two homes listed would have four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and they are priced identically at $899,999. If their design is not your style, for just $99,901 more you can buy 4.3 acres of undeveloped land in the shadow of Kip’s Castle. The property at 26 Crestmont Road, which can be subdivided, was first listed in February at $1.6 million.
