Mr. John F. “Jack” Cavalere, 70, died on June 17, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Born in Montclair, Mr. Cavalere grew up in Verona prior to moving to Cedar Grove.
A faithful, long time member of Fr. James Kelly Council 3632 of the Knights of Columbus, he was Co-chair of the Special Citizens Picnic and held many different offices.
Mr. Cavalere worked at the West Caldwell Shop-Rite for many years.
He is survived by his brothers, Thomas A. Cavalere, Richard M. Cavalere (his wife, Michele) and nieces, Alyson Karoly, Jacqueline Cavalere, Julia Cavalere, Michele Chiaia and Lauren Sommer.
