Fogarty Ends VHS Track Career On High Note

FogartyPoleVaultMichaela Fogarty ended her Verona High School track career on a strong note that carried her through the team’s championship season.

Beginning at the SEC Independence Division Championships, Fogarty placed first in pole vault and was selected to the First Team SEC Independence Division. The next week at The Essex County Championships, she placed sixth with a jump of 7’6″.

At the state Sectional Championships, Fogarty had another 7’6″ performance that gave her a third place tie and an opportunity to compete at the Group Championships. Fogarty ended her high school pole vault performance with a tie for tenth with a jump of 7’6″, with two very close jumps at 8′.
