On Sunday, June 21, two bands with Verona ties are going to be among the headliners at a daytime music festival to benefit the Montclair Animal Shelter.
The event is part of a two-day festival called Montclair Make Music Day, and organizers have set up a GoFundMe online fundraising campaign for it. The contributions will cover the costs of outreach, backline equipment and materials. All of the performances at the event are free.
The bands with Verona connections are Quantum Peruvian and Lake Effect; the full shelter concert lineup is here:
11:30 a.m.-noon: Boys In Crop Tops
12:20-12:50 p.m.: Teenage Halloween
1:10-1:40 p.m.: Psychiatric Metaphors
2:00-2:30 p.m.: Basement Beers
2:50-3:20 p.m.: Quantum Peruvian
3:30-4:00 p.m.: Lake Effect
You can find more information on the event’s Facebook page.
Montclair Make Music Day is actually two days this year–June 20 and 21–and there will be music at several locations in that town, including the Walnut Train Station farmer’s market and Edgemont Park on Saturday and the historic Crane and Schultz houses on Sunday. There’s more information on the Montclair Make Music Day Web site.
