Verona Fights Hunger Week-Healthy Breakfast Drive, coordinated by the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona, was a great success! We collected an impressive 90 bags of food – and secured a matching $500 matching donation from Partners for Health – for the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair.

This effort would not have been possible without the support of many in our community. We want to thank Verona Public Schools superintendent Rui Dionisio and all of Verona’s school principals for hosting collection bins, as well as the Community Center and Verona Public Library. We want to thank the school SCA organizations, the Verona Lions Club, the Verona Woman’s Club, and the other community service organizations that helped us spread the word.

We feel proud of our community’s continuing commitment to ensuring all in our area have access to healthy food and basic supplies. We look forward to continuing our mission to help those in need during the second annual Verona Fights Hunger Week in October. Thank you to all in our community for your support.
