Verona United Soccer Club invites current kindergarten through seventh grade students interested in playing soccer in the 2015-2016 season to a town-wide Soccer Try Out event on Friday, June 5. There is no cost to attend or try out, but each player must register online on the Verona United website. This year, there are specific try out times for field players as well as goal keepers. Additionally, any new teams being formed are welcome to attend as well; please contact Justin Marriott at [email protected] to let him know. Aside from just trying out, players and their families are encouraged to tailgate and meet other families as well as enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream; all provided by Verona United Soccer Club.
Participation is not limited to Verona residents, but is open to children who live in Cedar Grove, the Caldwells, Roseland, Essex Fells, and Montclair. Tryouts begin on the Linn Drive Field at the Verona Community Center at 4:30 p.m. for the youngest players and conclude with the last group starting at 8pm for the oldest players.
