The Verona moms who are real estate agents may actually get to spend this Mother’s Day relaxing with their families. After last weekend’s seven new listings and 14 open houses, and 10 new listings and six open houses the weekend before that, the Verona real estate market is relatively quiet this weekend. There are just two new listings and two open houses. There are, however, six properties with lower prices.

One of those is the 4.3 acre heavily wooded lot at the northern end of Crestmont Road that was first listed at $1.6 million in late February. Now priced at $1.1 million, the property is tucked into the hillside behind Vincent Place and Amy Court, in the shadow of Kip’s Castle. It is one of two current Verona real estate listings now being marketed as possible subdivisions. The other is the former mansion of Henry Ahlborn, a prominent 19th century industrialist who had a factory in Verona.

Here’s what’s happening in each category, from lowest priced to highest:

New Listings
35 Mount Prospect Avenue: 4 beds, 2 1/2 baths. Working fireplace, ample parking. $389,000.
30 Nassau Road: 3 beds, 1 full & 2 half baths. Open floor plan, recently renovated. $439,000.

Open Houses
20 E. Lincoln Street: 4 beds, 1 bath. New kitchen. Partially finished basement. $434,000. Open house Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
14 Summit Road: 4 beds, 4 baths. Afterglow section. Dead-end street near golf course. Price cut $80,000 to $995,000. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

Price Changes
1 Claridge Drive Apt. 402: 1 bed, 1 1/2 baths condo in full-service high-rise building. Cut $11,100 to $183,900.
2 Claridge Drive #3AE: 1 bed, 1 bath condo in full-service building. 4 walk-in closets. Cut another $13,500 to $245,500.
2 Claridge Drive Apt. 1HW: 3 beds, 3 baths in full-service condo high-rise. Walk-in closet, dressing room in master suite. Cut another $30,000 to $435,000.
18 Franklin Street: 3 beds, 1 1/2. Finished basement. Dead-end street. Cut $20,000 to $445,000.
14 Summit Road: 4 beds, 4 baths. Afterglow section. Dead-end street near golf course. Price cut $80,000 to $995,000. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.
26 Crestmont Road: 4.3 acre undeveloped lot. Can be subdivided. Cut $500,000 to $1,100,000.
