Students Compete In Rutger Chinese Program

ConfuciusCompetition2015Three Verona High School students competed in the Fourth Annual Confucius Institute of Rutgers University Chinese Language Competition on Saturday, April 18.

Amanda Flores, Dianna Flores and Natalie DeRosa (pictured above with Rutgers Prof. Dietrich Tschanz and VHS teacher Betty Hou) put their Chinese language skills to the test during a series of competitions such as making sentences, matching words, pronunciation, situational dialogue, translation and writing

After all the results were tabulated, it was determined that the Verona team of Flores, Flores and DeRosa placed third in the competition.
