Car, Van Collide At Lakeside Deli

LakesideDeli-AccidentA passenger car and a delivery van crashed into each other at the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and Park Place just after 9 a.m. this morning.

According to Verona Police Chief Doug Huber, both vehicles were attempting to turn onto the small side street when the accident occurred, sending both onto the sidewalk in front of Lakeside Deli. Huber said that one driver was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

Huber said that Verona Building Inspector Tom Jacobsen would be stopping at Lakeside Deli today to see if there had been any damage to the building.
