Both the Verona High School girls and boys spring track teams got off to winning ways in the past week in several conference regular season meets. 
The girls are 4-0 with victories over Newark East Side, Saint Vincent Academy, Christ The King and Montclair Kimberley Academy, while the boys are 3-0 with wins against MKA, Newark East Side and Christ The King. There were a number of strong performances for both the girls and boys in all events. 
VHS track competes on Saturday at The Lyndhurst Relays, and its next dual meet is Wednesday, April 15 at Cedar Grove. Since the Hillbilly and Panther track squads have been in different conferences, it will be Verona’s first visit to the Cedar Grove track in more than a decade.
