Pinwheels2015April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is once again partnering with Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey on the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign. This campaign offers citizens, businesses and community groups an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children by purchasing pinwheels for an actual garden and a virtual one.

The Verona Juniors will plant a pinwheel garden outside the Verona Police Department on Tuesday, April 14. They also will plant a “cyber” garden via their website. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this initiative will benefit Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey.

Every child deserves a happy, healthy and safe childhood. To donate to this cause, please visit www.veronajuniors.org. Pinwheels may be purchased from now until the end of April.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is a versatile organization that has been involved in social and charitable work since its inception in 1926. The Juniors address Verona’s diverse needs by promoting education, preserving natural resources, encouraging healthy lifestyles, working on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, supporting participation in the arts and advocating for issues of concern to women, children and families.
