If you’ve been unable to get a wining bid in on a house in Verona, you may feel as if you’ve hit the jackpot this weekend. There are nine new listings, at prices from $209,900 to $899,000.
Like all jackpots, the treasure is likely to be fleeting: As we recently told you, 37% of the homes on the market went under contract in February 2015, a level of activity that this market hasn’t seen since 2008. Market experts estimate that the houses now on the market will be gone in three months or less, which puts the so-called absorption rate in Verona ahead of Caldwell, Essex Fells, Livingston, Montclair and West Caldwell.
