The Verona Sports Boosters would like to congratulate Sarah O’Neill as the Girls Senior Athlete of the Week.
Sarah is a key contributor to the Hillbillies girls’ basketball team, averaging 14.4 points, six rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. The team’s record currently stands at 5-4.
Sarah is a fan of the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, and enjoys listening to Taylor Swift. Her favorite TV show is Law and Order, and her favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs. Her fondest memory of VHS basketball was making it to the finals last season.
Sarah’s favorite vacation was a trip to Disney World. Next year Sarah plans to attend college but has yet to decide where she will be going.
The Verona Sports Boosters wishes Sarah the best of luck in all her future endeavors. During the 2014-2015 school year, the Verona Sports Boosters will recognize a different male and female senior athlete at Verona High School. The Boosters support male and female athletes in all VHS sports through a variety of fundraisers and recognition events.
