Playing at home, the Verona team’s offense was led by Caroline Kirnan. The senior had 15 points on the afternoon, the most of any player for either team, and her best outing since January 3, when she had 14 points in Verona’s 41-35 win over Belleville. Kirnan was also the team leader in rebounds on Tuesday, with nine.

The VHS girls travel to Bloomfield High School this afternoon for a 4 p.m. game that could be tough-going: The Bengals have a 9-3 record on the season.
