HoopsLivingston01152015Senior Claire Fitzpatrick had a strong game, but it was not enough to get the Verona High School girls basketball team close to Livingston High School on Thursday.

Playing at home, VHS team could manage only 29 points to Livingston’s 44, with Fitzpatrick contributing 14 of Verona’s total. She is on track, however, to have the best scoring season of her varsity career, with 36 points to her credit already.

The loss puts the VHS girls’ record at 5-4, with wins over Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Belleville, Irvington and Glen Ridge. The Lady Hillbillies take on Collegiate of Newark on Tuesday.
