The Verona High School wrestling team improved its record to 5-2 with a 45-25 win over Glen Ridge on January 9.
John Gabriele, a freshman wrestling at 132, scored a 7-0 decision over Ryan Caloo, while his twin brother Frank (120) pinned opponent Anthony Santigate at the 3:34 mark.
Once again, there were successful pins by several Verona wrestlers, including Billy Czupak (160) over Jonathan Bronander, Brian Wagner (182) over Andrew Skorupski and Jimmy Loudon (106) over Joseph Biancamano.
Verona hosts Livingston on Wednesday, January 14, at 5 p.m.
