On Saturday, January 31, the Verona Sports Boosters will hold their annual Beefsteak at 7 p.m. at the Verona Community Center.
The Verona High School Booster Club supports and promotes all VHS girls and boys athletic programs by connecting students, parents, coaches, and the community to enhance school spirit, boost morale, and offer financial support.
The Annual Beefsteak is the VHS Boosters biggest fundraiser of the year and we encourage all VHS and incoming 8th grade parents, alumni and friends of our programs to join us. If your child is coming to the high school in the next few years it’s an excellent opportunity to become involved and learn about our athletic programs. All funds raised by the Boosters go directly to our high school athletic programs to purchase needed items such as uniforms and protective/safety equipment for the teams. A portion also goes towards scholarships to help our young athletes deal with the rising costs of college.
The food will be provided by Nightingale’s Caterers, known as the creators of the beefsteak back in the 1930s. It is a great evening with plenty of food and beverages. There is also a tricky tray, music and a silent auction. Tickets for the evening are $50.
