The Friends of the Verona Public Library would like to express their sincere thanks to the members of the community who donated books and attended our 32nd Annual Book Sale. This year our book sale broke all records, raising nearly $3,500 for the Friends of the Verona Public Library. We estimate that we sold over 5,000 books during our five day sale, and hundreds of residents and non-residents enjoyed looking through our expansive collection of books. The Friends will be able to sponsor many special events and programs at the library in 2015 with the funds raised from this book sale.

This success would not have been possible without the generous donations of high-quality books and DVDs from the Verona community. We also want to give a special thanks to the residents of Claridge House I for sponsoring a book drive for the Friends that resulted in hundreds of book donations.

We also want to recognize the staff of the Verona Public Library for their never ending enthusiasm and assistance during the book sale, the Public Works department for their help before and after the sale, and Kings Supermarket and Walgreens for donating plastic bags that were used as part of the sale.

I also want to personally thank the volunteers of the Friends of the Verona Public Library. These volunteers spent many collective hours sorting book donations, setting up the room, working at the sale, and helping with clean up. Without them this sale would not have been possible!

Thank you again to the community for your enthusiastic support.
Sincerely,
Christine McGrath,
President, Friends of the Verona Public Library
