If you’ve got a tech business, or you want to have one, you’ll want to know about the TechLaunch event on Tuesday, December 2.
TechLaunch is New Jersey’s technology accelerator. Based at Montclair State University, it provides seed funding, co-working space, LaunchPad (business boot-camp), mentors and access to investors for aspiring entrepreneurs. It counts among its mentors Verona’s own John Crepezzi, co-founder of Broadstreet, the company that built the advertising technology used at MyVeronaNJ.com.
Tuesday’s event will be at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s library in Madison from 6:30-9 p.m. It will feature TechLaunch co-founder and venture capitalist Mario Casabona. The chairman emeritus of Jumpstart New Jersey Angel Network, he founded and was CEO of Electro-Radiation Inc. (ERI) until 2004 when ERI was acquired by Honeywell International. ERI was a developer of radar, navigation and communications technology and equipment for the defense industry. Casabona is an electrical engineer and holds 12 national and international patents in the field of satellite-based navigation and communications.
