It’s getting to be the season for giving, and Trend Boutique is kicking it off with a shopping day to give to Team Zoey and its efforts to raise money for research into the rapid-aging disease Progeria.
Trend has designated Monday, November 24, as its “Shop for a ’cause” day, which it explains as:
-‘Cause you need a hostess gift
-‘Cause you need last minute odds and ends for your Thanksgiving Table
-‘Cause you want an early start to your Holiday shopping
But most of all cause Team Zoey needs your help!
Team Zoey is the non-profit created by supporters of Zoey Penny, the Verona child who has Progeria. It collects donations for the Progeria Research Foundation and its many fundraisers have helped PRF conduct the first-ever clinical drug trial related to Progeria and raise awareness of the disease’s impact. (Team Zoey is holding its annual “Miles of Hope Turkey Trot” 5K and fun run in Verona Park on on Saturday, November 29.)
Trend Boutique, which is located at 636 Bloomfield Avenue in the center of Verona, will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 24 and will give 20% of all sales that day to the Progeria Research Foundation.
