The Caldwell University Opera Workshop will present Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22 in the Alumni Theatre on campus. The opera will be sung in English and is suitable for children age 8 and above.
The cast includes: Caldwell University students Angela Cirillo (Hansel) of West New York, Dana Poalillo (Gretel) and Nicholas Bushey (the Witch) of Wayne, Vincent Abramo (Father) of Brick, Miriam Edelstein (Mother) of River Edge, Rebecca Nee (Sandman) of Kearny, Claudia Romano (Dew Fairy) of Sorrento, Italy, Isabella Perretti (Gingerbread Child) of Caldwell and children from Hazel Avenue Elementary School, West Orange as the gingerbread children.
For admission audience members are asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Caldwell Food Pantry.
