On Saturday, December 13, the Woman’s Club of Verona and the Verona-Essex Juniorettes will be sponsoring
their sixth annual “Share Your Light Night”. On that evening homes throughout town will line the streets with luminaries.
Luminaries are white bags slightly filled with sand to hold a 6- to 8-hour burning candle. They will be lit at 5 p.m., creating a ribbon of light symbolizing neighborhood unity. Each luminary kit contains 10 white bags, 10 candles and sand, and the cost of each kit is $15. Kits will be delivered to the buyer’s doorstep on the weekend of November 22.
Proceeds from the sale of the luminaries will help the Woman’s Club and Juniorettes award scholarships to Verona students and support other community service organizations, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time.
