Pearl Harbor-SimmonsMark Simmons loves history and acting, and on Wednesday he will bring the two together in “Destination: Pearl Harbor”.

The Verona-based actor has created a one-man presentation and tribute to the soldiers and sailors who were witness to the terrible attack of December 7, 1941. He has used the words of the men who were there to present stories of the shock, fear, anger and heroism that unfolded on what then President Franklin Delano Roosevelt called “A date which will live in infamy.”

“Destination: Pearl Harbor” will be presented by the Cedar Grove Historical Society on Wednesday, September 24, at
7:30 p.m. in the Cedar Grove Public Library, which is located by the fire station in the center of Cedar Grove. The show is open to the public and free of charge.
