Verona United Cobras Take Tournament

cobras-tournament4During this past summer the U13 Boys Verona United Cobras enjoyed watching and following all the World Cup Soccer games while training to get prepared for the fall soccer season.

The boys’ hard work has paid off already with a repeat victory at the Essex Fall Tune-Up Soccer Tournament in West Orange this past weekend. The tournament ran Friday to Sunday with the Cobras running the table, winning all four games against teams from Chatham, West Orange, Fairfield and Maplewood with 15 goals for and only one against.cobras-tournament3

The Cobras team consists of seventh grade boys: Andrew Castillo, Alejandro Celi, Joseph Dymkowski, Maximilian Handler, Vincent Hogan, Tristan Lugo, Jake Maisano, Matthew McNally, Aiden Murphy, Nicholas Napoli, Liam Patel, Niko Paulari, Jerry Strippoli, Andrew Tracy, Leonidas Xanthakos and Samuel Zamloot, and they are coached by Niraj Patel and John Hogan.

The Cobra’s 10-game league schedule begins this weekend.cobras-tournament2
