Two-Family, Or One?

26 Gould Street is a two-family
There aren’t many two-family homes in Verona, and the ones that are here are rarely on the market. In the four-plus years that MyVeronaNJ.com has been reporting on real estate in Verona, only eight have come on the market. Contrast that with Caldwell, a real estate market roughly comparable to Verona, where there are four two-family homes on the market this weekend alone. Montclair, where many older homes have been split up, has almost 20 multi-family houses listed now.

But you can add one more house to Verona’s two-family tally this weekend. Like many of the other two-family homes in Verona, 26 Gould Street is close to the center of town. And it is so close to H.B. Whitehorne middle school in fact that Principal Yvette McNeal could shout to get your attention. Not that she would, of course,

If a two-family is not your style, you can focus on the rest of the weekend’s open houses, one of which comes with a price cut. Here’s what’s happening in each category, from lowest priced to highest.

New Listings
26 Gould Street: 5 beds, 2 baths. Two-family steps from middle school and center of town. Three-car garage. $379,000. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.
