Attention all budding comedians, Essex Toastmasters needs you! Essex Toastmasters invites current Toastmasters members to be a contestant in its humorous speech competition. This will be held on August 28 in the Verona Public Library located on 17 Gould Street in Verona at 7 p.m. Members have the opportunity to present one humorous speech – original or previously presented – lasting five to seven minutes.
Toastmasters International is holding a series of contests for its Humorous Speech and Table Topics components. Winners will advance to Area, Division, and District level contests held in September, October, and November respectively. The District level event is being held at the Fall District Conference on November 22 at the Best Western Regency House in Pompton Plains.
Come out and show us your funny side, Fellow Toastmasters! Please contact Jason Everett, contest chair and vice president of education, by August 11 for more information and to volunteer for roles.
