Summer Reading Inspires Lemonade Stand

NickyRyanLemonadeAs a culminating activity to their reading of Jacqueline Davies’ The Lemonade War, Lindsay Benshoof’s summer school class opened their own lemonade stand. Pictured above are Verona residents Ryan Tsang and Nicky Chiccolini with their first customers, Val Lachina and her three-year-old son Domenick. Nicky and Ryan’s Lemonade Stand raised $820 that was donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer.
