Theresa Lau, a 2010 graduate of Verona High School, has won a prestigious scholarship to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy at Ithaca College.
Theresa Lau, a senior athletic training major in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance at Ithaca College, was recently awarded the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) scholarship. Lau was a 2010 graduate of Verona High School and was a key player on the VHS softball team.

“Lau is highly motivated, process orientated and insightful,” said Paul Geisler, associate professor and program director for the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences. “She is the type of student who makes my job as an educator more enjoyable and excitable.”

The NATA Foundation Scholarship Program is one of the organization’s most highly regarded programs. Scholarhips are awarded to undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students.

Lau will use the scholarship for her graduate study at Ithaca College. She will be getting her doctorate in physical therapy.
