Smartt Stages Off-Broadway Show
MOM BABY GOD, a play produced by a 2007 graduate of Verona High School, will be presented as part of New York City’s sixth Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
Verona native Allison Smartt is responsible for the show’s lighting, projection and sound design. An alumna of Hampshire College, Smartt now heads her own audio engineering and production company and works with many institutions and theaters in the northeast. She is also the technical director of the Mount Holyoke Dance Department.
MOM BABY GOD is Madeline Burrows’ one-woman show based on her two years undercover at pro-life conferences. It will be performed from Tuesday, June 3, through Saturday, June 7, at the Paradise Factory, 64 East 4th Street in New York. The Tuesday and Friday shows are matinees; Thursday and Saturday are evening performances. Tickets are $18 and may be purchased through mombabygod.com/schedule.
