Verona UNICO
Verona UNICO, a private non-profit organization, is comprised of individuals of Italian ancestry committed to providing a better quality of life for those in need on a community and national level. Chartered in 1970, Verona UNICO has dispersed more than $500,000 to a variety of causes including but not limited to: The V Foundation for Cancer Research; and a host of local charities consisting of Project Graduation, the Rescue Squad, the Volunteer Fire Department, the Verona Baseball & Softball League, the Children’s Holiday Fund, and many more.
The chapter is also dedicated to preserving the Italian Heritage through various cultural programs, specifically, the Italian Book Collection at the Verona Public Library.
Verona UNICO also takes great pride in the fact that they have been raising money to enhance their charitable donations as the key sponsor of the Verona Labor Day Run since 1982.
