Hockey’s DeCandia Named Essex Player Of The Year
By Staff Report on March 30, 2014
The Star Ledger has named Verona High School senior Dylan DeCandia the Essex County ice hockey player of the year.
The paper’s write-up of DeCandia says in part:
DeCandia shined on the ice and was at the face of the rebirth of Verona-Glen Ridge hockey. As a dynamic playmaker with great stick-handling skills and a rifle of a shot, he scored 51 goals while dishing out 17 assists and helping VGR to a 17-6-3 record.
